After an exceptionally long winter and cold spring, my wife and I decided to escape the tundra of Wisconsin for a short break filled with sunshine and beach time along the West Coast of Florida.  One morning we even managed to get up early enough to walk along the beach before the sun rose high in the sky.  During that walk, I managed to capture this solitary bird staring down the pier towards the open sea.  Enjoy!
