You know what? Blogging is hard.
Yep, I said it. When I started this blog, I had high hopes for it. I thought it would be a spot for me to regularly write, to share pictures, and to engage with people. I’ve read many blogs and it seemed easy. Write/develop content? Sure, anyone can do that!
But, you know what? Life happened.
This site has been quite quiet for a year now…in that time, I’ve gotten a new job, made an interstate move, started said new job, and am settling into my new hometown of St. Louis. My wife and I love our new city – it feels like home in a way that our previous abode, Madison, WI, never did. And, during the past year, we’ve loved every minute exploring the nooks and crannies that make this city so grand.
Yet, I find myself longing to do some writing, wanting to share my thoughts and photos in a different forum. Sure, microblogging sites such as Twitter are nice and fun, but they don’t allow for the in-depth explorations of life and the places we inhabit that I want to share.
Soooo, I’ve decided that I’m going to give this whole blogging thing another try.
No promises on regularity of posting (other than it will be much more often than once a year). Hopefully, I can set a goal for posting, develop some creative ideas for my writing, and provide some insight into my world and the things that make it beautiful.
Enjoy. Leave a comment if you wish. But don’t just rely on me – get out, smell the fresh air, and enjoy your world!
